What we Believe…
¨ LOVE: To promote an obedience to the command of Christ that one love their neighbor as themselves, and expressed via kindness, gentleness sensitivity, patience and other such qualities of Character as found in 1 Corinthians 13. (Mathew 22:29, 1 John 4:20)
¨ JUSTICE: To promote a mentality of Justice that reflects the concepts of Ethics and Morality as found in the Law of God. (Micah 6:8, Amos 5:24, Matthew 23:23)
¨ MERCY: To promote a love of Mercy and Compassion for all those within and without the Body of Christ extending the Mercy of Christ and God to others, as His Mercy has been given to us. (Micah 6:8, Hebrews 2:17, 8:12, 10:17)
¨ HUMILITY: To promote the attribute of Humility producing a mindset and environment that is absent of Pride and Arrogance. (Micah 6:8, Proverbs 22:4, 1 Peter 5:5)
¨ GENEROSITY: To promote a benevolent attitude that values the giving of our resources to those who are less fortunate and in need. Thereby rejecting the sin of greed via the recognition that all that we have, has come from the generous hand of God. (Proverbs 22:9, 28:27, Acts 20:35, Jeremiah 6:13, 1 Timothy 6:10)
¨ SELF-ASSESSMENT: To promote the practice of “Searching one’s own Heart”. Looking to remove any harmful thought, feeling, or behavior within ourselves. Obeying Christ’s command to avoid pointing out the Speck in someone’s eye and ignoring the log in our eye. (Psalm 139:33, Matthew 7:30)
¨ EQUALITY: To promote an absence of prejudice and bigotry, regardless of its face, whether it be one’s social standing, educational achievement, financial status, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, etc. without compromising the absolutes of God’s Word. (James 2:1-10)
¨ LANGUAGE: To promote the absence of the destruction of the tongue that curses via Gossip, Slander, Reviling, Degrading, Backbiting, Maliciousness, Whispers, Humor at the expense of another’s weakness, etc. Rather may we use our tongue to bless via words of encouragement, edification, understanding, etc. (Psalm 52:4, 64:3, Proverbs 15:4, James 3:6,8)
¨ HONOR / RESPECT: To promote the concept of Honor and Respect for others beginning with the absolute of honoring Parents regardless of the mentality promoted by today’s society. (Exodus 20:12, Proverbs 1:8, 6:20-23, Mark 7:8-13)
¨ TRUTHFULLNESS: To promote the value of one’s “Word” being Yea or Nay, thus producing trustworthiness, integrity, and credibility. (Proverbs 12:19, Jeremiah 9:5, Matthew 5:37)
¨ PRODUCTIVITY: To promote the principal of “Hard Work” and being committed to the value of “Excellence” in all our labor, via the work of our Hands for the Kingdom of God. (Acts 20:35, 1 Thessalonians 2:9, 1 Timothy 5:17) |
